Vector Linux (SOHO Deluxe)

So I got this new Linux distro, I tried out the standard edition and it was like blazing fast. Furcadia ran at like native speeds and all that. Anyway, so I decided I really liked it enough to buy it, which really didn’t take very long. They offer this Downloadable deluxe edition, for about $20 for 2 CDs. and it is REALLY worth the money. Comes with 60 days of paid support, also. I had a hard time trying to figure out the wifi as usual, but I contacted support and I got it solved. I guess I wasn’t installing the right madwifi package and he gave me a link to the right one.

This linux distro is based on: speed, stability and preformance. And that’s like the three things I look for in a distro. I’ve had Kubuntu for so long, and it just feels very bloated. I’m not that good at linux either, so it’s not like I could strip it down or anything like some people could. Anyway, like I said it’s REALLY worth the $20 for the two downloadable CDS, and if you don’t have a high speed connection you can also order the CDs too for a fair price. I believe this is about the only software I actually paid for almost, besides games XD. But it’s wayy better than payin $200 for crappy windows, even that is bloated. and it gets really sluggish after awhile atleast with me. I guess I’m like very bad at keeping windoze like it’s brand new, and I re-install constantly because windows sucks just that much IMHO atleast. I now just use windows for gaming mostly. Otherwise linux—getting wayy off topic anyway.

Like I was saying, I LOVE this distro. I finally have something I can customize to my likeing and I already have…here’s some screenshots of my theme:

Anyway, you should atleast try to check out the standard edition. This distro is VERY lightweight, even in the Soho deluxe edition especially. So if you decide you really like it, you can choose to support the creators and get an even better distro in return!
